Some people will have a reaction to this site. Moving to Romania turned everything upside down. Maybe it is not possible to understand without doing something similar.

 

The church criticizes the rich young ruler for refusing to sell, give, and follow but nevertheless refuses to sell, give, and follow. Understanding why Jesus tells us to give to everyone is impossible without giving to everyone. Paul called it garbage. We can't esteem what he despised.

Some of the authors I reply to have died.
I regret if anything here causes pain to their families. But anyone who accepts the responsibility of explaining the word of God is held to a high standard, and I adamantly disagree with the idea that the demand of Christ is impossible and therefore not required. It's not impossible; it's just difficult.

 

Saying that we need not take the first step because the last step is too high is not right. Only with Scripture do we say that because 100% is impossible we are allowed to do nothing.

 

It can be done.
